Today marks the first meeting between the Guild bargaining team and management over what are likely to be tough contract issues. As we all know, these are difficult economic times, times that will make the work of the bargaining team extremely challenging over the coming weeks and months.
The bargaining team has already spent many hours researching and prepping for these negotiations, but they are only a representative body. You are the Guild. Our success rests with you.
That’s why the mobilization of the entire Guild membership is so important. Now, more than ever, we need to stick together and speak with one voice for what we want, what we need, and what we deserve. We ask that every Guild member wear a Guild sticker today as a sign of unity.
