Wonder where @thebuffalonews journalists get their scoop or find their angle? Now is your chance to ask! Join us for a free and casual "Meet the Journalists" event at Britesmith Brewing in Buffalo on Wednesday evening, June 17. Enjoy light fare, cash bar and short, fun program! Buffalo Newspaper Guild members, along with their friends and family, were proud to march in this year's Buffalo Pride Parade and show our continued support for our diverse community, LGBTQ+ civil rights, and freedom of expression for all! Undaunted by rain, Guild members and friends were proud to again join @bnwaterkeeper spring cleanup Saturday, along the Scajaquada shoreline. Everything from discarded bottles to abandoned construction material got hauled to the curb. We believe in protecting our community! Sandra Tan, Buffalo News reporter and Buffalo Newspaper Guild member, talks about the changing landscape of local journalism and what it means to the community. Link to full video of our October event “The Future of Local Journalism” in bio. Due to more cost cutting by Lee Enterprises, the Buffalo Newspaper Guild is saying difficult goodbyes to four more members: Dale Anderson, Toni Ruberto, Natalie Brophy and Jamal Harris Jr. (not pictured). We thank Dale, Toni, Natalie and Jamal for their contributions to The News and wish them well in their next chapter.
