8.9.2011 – Please join your fellow Guild members for an ice cream social from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday in front of the building. An ice cream truck will distribute free ice cream to all Guild members as we prepare to enter into more difficult negotiations with the company in the coming days over wages and other issues.
Until now, negotiations have been fairly straightforward, but we anticipate much more challenging discussions ahead after the buyout window closes on Friday. To that end, we are distributing attractive Guild lapel pins that we ask every Guild member to wear as often as possible as a show of solidarity until the end of negotiations. Please stop by the table to pick up your pin and receive a ticket for a free novelty ice cream from the Mr. Cool ice cream truck. (Just follow the sounds of the “The Entertainer” jingle.)
