Applications for a $1,500 college scholarship through the Western New York CWA Council are now available.
Family members of Buffalo Newspaper Guild members in good standing are eligible to apply. Applicants can either be attending college or accepted to an accredited institution.
Applications must be processed through the local Guild office. Please return completed applications to Guild Vice President Sandra Tan no later than Nov. 2.
Known as the Eugene J. Mays Scholarship, eight awards of $1,500 will be made via lottery. Winners will be invited to an awards dinner scheduled for Jan. 20, 2012.
